Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. as a community service organization. The Sorority was established by five women under the principles of  Scholarship, Service ,Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood with the charge of being a community conscious - action oriented organization.

Since its inception the Sorority has expanded to encompass more than 500+ graduate and collegiate chapters around the world including chapters in The Unites States, Africa, Germany, The Virgin Islands, Japan and Korea among others. In our 90+ years of service, countless numbers of women have dedicated their lives to the emulation of the ideals of the Sorority which were set by our Founders.
